Introducing the "mommy mark" - a stylish, delicately beautiful bookmark for mommy's favorite magazine, novel, or bedtime story.

The total length of the mommy mark is approximately 15 inches fitting a small novel to a large magazine. The mommy mark is designed using a mix of wool and synthetic felt flowers, layered, handstitched, and embellished with a handmade fabric button. The mommy mark's bottom flower is made flat just incase the bookmark is snuck into an extra large book where the bottom flower has to remain inside. The sample shown includes a monogram for a personalized touch!

My bestseller at sidewalk sales, boutiques and custom orders has been my "dainty" clippie trios... especially my playful creations using a combination of colorful felt flowers, buttons, and other adorable embellishments.

Around the corner...

I'm thrilled to announce that my online boutique is nearly ready for launch! I will be stocking a few products early this week, along with the finalization of my shipping preferences and it'll be ready for primetime. It's been a delight sneaking in an hour here and there to work on the design. I'm excited that Colorful Kisses will soon offer products to everyone North America wide!

Wall Decor: Art Wall Window

My husband and I spent some time yesterday hanging up more artwork, photos, and finishing a few projects around our new home... Our new favorite addition to our daughter's playroom downstairs is her new art wall window.

We used two decorative shutters, and four adorable magnet boards hung atop a painted square. All combined, it resembles a little window. I can't wait until i can hang her creations on the wall when she begins coloring and crafting.

A side note, to get a perfectly clean edge, we painted the masked area's taped edge with the same latte wall color. It sealed the tape. Then, we painted the secondary color and after removing the tape, the edge couldn't have been more crisp!

Additional ideas:

• a mural could be painted beneath the magnet boards
• the window's edge could be detailed with moulding, etc.
• use peg boards, chalkboard paint, or whiteboards for your window panes
